The Knights of Columbus will be hosting the Icon of Our Lady of Guadalupe at St. Peter's from October 1st through October 7th. The Icon is unlike any you may have seen before. Not only is it blessed by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, but it was also touched to the original image of Holy Mary of Guadalupe on St. Juan Diego’s Tilma, when Supreme Knight Carl Anderson and Supreme Secretary Emilio Moure traveled to Mexico City on June 1. Each image bears the signature of the Rector of the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe and was sealed with a bit of soil from the first Church at Tepeyac Hill – the very terrain on which Our Lady appeared to St. Juan Diego almost 480 years ago.
The schedule for the Icon is as follows:
Monday Oct 1st-Thursday October 4th - The Icon will be on display in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel
Friday October 5th - 9:00am Mass, 7:00pm Rosary, 7:30pm Mass
Saturday October 6th - The Icon will be on display at the Bazaar until 2:30, 4:00pm Mass at Holy Cross
Sunday October 7th - 10:00am Mass, 11:30am Mass.
