Council and Assembly Officers were dutifully installed in 28 July and 4 August respectively. Lets get out there and support them so that we can have a great Knights of Columbus year of fraternal growth and community service. Special thanks to all who helped with food and refreshments; especially, Caesar Moona and the Columbiettes. Follow this link for additional photos. God Bless, Vivat Jesus

Thanks to everyone who participated in this very special event to make it such a success: Sir Knights Jim Bright, Robert Songco, Mike McMahon, John Stump, Roy Spurlock, Reulito (Gonz) Gonzalez, Robert Cooler, Steve Mendoza, Jim Range, Mike Giese, and Brother Knights Jim Pennell, Dan Ahern, Jim Arand, and Fred Leyda. From Claire Ketcham (Parish Organizer): How wonderful the Knights were!! Watching from the choir - nothing could have been better. My thanks goes out to all of your members who participated!! I think the high point of the evening came when the Knights rendered honor to our Blessed Mother during the procession at the end of the visitation. Busy Week for the Council
Indeed it was a busy week at the
Council Hall. In addition to Mr. Michael Fleischbein's presentation
on Thursday (see previous post), we had our annual Council oyster
roast on Sunday, 28 February. We had about 20 in attendance Thursday
night and almost 50 on Sunday for the oyster roast. A huge thank you
to Brother Gonz for hosting both events. Special thanks also to
Grand Knight Steve Mendoza, Brother Knights Fred Leyda, Robert
Songco, Robert Cooler, Mike Giese and Gonz' friend Edgar Dalan who
helped with the heavy lifting to make the oyster roast a huge
success. Also a special thanks to all of the Sister Columbiettes
for their support, bringing extra dishes and desserts and especially
to Sisters Dolores Brown and Kathy Gallagher who took care of the
finances. We made a profit of $377.73 which will be used for the
annual Easter Egg Hunt in March. For more pictures of these events,

Guest Speaker
During our last social meeting on 25 February, Mr. Michael Fleischbein gave an inspirational talk on his parents and the holocaust. I've placed a video file of it here in case you missed it. Enjoy, God Bless, Vivat Jesus.

Pro-Life News
From Sir Knight Reulito Gonzalez (Gonz), Pro-Life Director: The Annual Pro-Life March/Rally in Columbia, SC was held on January 9, 2016. Our Bishop was represented by Rev. Fr. Jeff Kirby who led the opening prayers. The march was led by Brother Knights of Columbus from throughout the State and was very well attended by all ages young and old. The key speakers were Alan and Lisa Robertson from the popular Duck Dynasty show. Lisa confessed that she had an abortion when she was 16 years old and that she regrets it every day of her life. This was a prelude for the big March in Washington DC, which is taking place today despite the blizzard conditions. "For marchers, the date — January 22 — is important because it marks the anniversary of the 1973 Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision that deemed abortion a fundamental right under the Constitution." For more photos of the SC March please select this link and for a video prepared by KofC Supreme on the Marches here and around the world select this link. God Bless, Vivat-Jesus.
