Knights Support Our Local Scouts

Our Knights of Columbus Faithful Navigator - Sir Knight James Range presenting a check for $500 to the local troop of our Church Boys Scout. They are having their jamboree in our church ground. We normally support our local Boy Scout troop. (Facebook Post by Gonz, Dec 12)

Ramp Building For Dolores Brown

Dolores is the widow of our beloved Vincent 'Vinny' Brown, a loyal member of our Council and Assembly for many years.  Vinny, despite his disabilities, was probably the most active member of our Council.  So, when Dolores reached out for assistance, it was our pleasure to help her.  Many thanks to Brother Knights Ed D'Orazio, Mike Cook, Jim Range, Cregg Yates, and Gonz.

LIFE CHAIN 2020

We had a very successful LIFE CHAIN on November 1, 2020, praying hard to end the evil of abortion. One hundred thirty participants both young and old, and some came all the way from St. Gregory Parish in Bluffton.  Our Council was represented by our Chaplain – Rev. Fr. Andrew Trapp, Deacon Michael Beeler, FN James and Jane Range, BK Jim and Theresa Pennell, BK Rich and Mary Holihan, BK Bill and wife Haissig, BK Dan and Lisa Daly, BK Caesar and Sally Moona, BK Henry and son Kristian Santos, BK Gonz and Armi Gonzalez, Ten Brother Knights and their ladies from Bluffton Council led by their FN Peter Watson participated also.  And our Sister Columbiettes were also represented. What a wonderful day to be a Catholic, especially to be a Knight of Columbus.  The old signs were given away due to the pandemic and we pledged to finance new signs to the Chairwoman - Theresa Pulliam.

Beaufort SC Life Chain 2020

The annual Life Chain at Beaufort SC was held on Nov 1st this year.  Approximately 120 people showed up from Bluffton and Beaufort to hold a silent prayer vigil to end abortion.  The Lord blessed us with beautiful weather.   May the Lord receive our prayer and always guide our Country to defend and protect the unborn.  More pictures of the event may be see by following this Link.

Water Mission 2020

Congratulations to Team Knights of Columbus.  We raised $1,245 with a generous donation of $500 from the Columbus Club and many of our Brother Knights.  This year the walk was very different.  Each team did the walk at a location and time of their choosing.  Pictured below is Terry Buquet presenting the Columbus Club check to Beaufort Coordinator, Robert Lasher.  The bottom image is our 2020 walking team at the start of our 3.5 mile walk down part of the Spanish Moss Trail .  Overall, the Beaufort Walk for Water raised $55,000 and counting.  For information about the Water Mission organization visit: https://events.watermission.org

Walk for Water is a Go for 2020

Brother Knights,  Walk for Water is one of the most rewarding events of my year.  I hope you'll join the Council's Team this year as a donor, walker, or both.  Last year our nine member team raised $1,495.  With over a month to plan this year, we can do even better.  Bring the family along for a nice afternoon walk in Port Royal.  Here's a short video from last year's walk to get you started:

2020/21 Installation of Officers

On Thursday, June 25th, the Council held the Installation for Officers online for those who will serve during the 2020-21 fraternal year.  The installation was officiated by District Deputy Ed Kamenski assisted by Grand Knight Robert Cooler.  Unlike the last two years, we were not able to host a dinner for this event due to Covid-19 restrictions.  A list of the newly installed officers is provided in this blog by selecting the Officers, Trustees & Directors Link on the right hand side of this page.
