On Friday, July 20th, the Council and the Assembly held a joint Installation for Officers who will serve the 2018-19 fraternal year. The installation was also combined with Council and Assembly yearly awards presentations and Columbus HOPE presentations. All Council and Assembly members were invited with their guests and/or family along with the Columbiettes and their guest and the Columbus HOPE recipients and their guests. In all, about 75 people attended the event. Brother Knight Caesar Moona prepared a delicious dinner of prime rib, green beans, potatoes, and home made bread pudding for dessert. Thank you Caesar, and thanks to the Columbiettes for making the Walsh Palmetto room look like a palace. Organizations receiving checks from Columbus HOPE were:
- Thumbs Up
- Abel Foundation
- Cinderella Fella Ball
- Love of Therapeutic Riding
- Programs for Exceptional People (PEP)
A huge thanks to Brother Knight Reulito Gonzalez (Gonz) for organizing and leading a very successful Columbus HOPE campaign, raising approximately $5,500, of which, $4,650 was donated to the above charities, with the remaining 20% to State charities.
